Certified converter boxes are available from both national and local retailers. Call ahead to confirm availability of coupon-eligible converter boxes on the day you plan to shop.
National Retailers
Converter boxes can be purchased at any of these national retailers currently participating in the program:
- Wal-Mart
- Circuit City
- RadioShack
- Best Buy

Online Retailers
Converter boxes can also be purchased online and can be shipped directly to your home. To purchase online please visit the BSAT e-shop.

Information for Retailers:
- Retailers interested in participating in the Coupon Program should visit NTIA’s web pages for retailers and become familiar with the retailer requirements in order to participate in NTIA’s program.
- Read the Final Rule, especially section 301.6, which applies to retailers.
- Register Now with NTIA to indicate your interest or call 1-866-296-1107.
Information for Manufacturers:
- Manufacturers interested in participating in the Coupon Program should visit NTIA’s web pages for manufacturers and become familiar with the technical requirements that converters must meet in order to be certified as eligible for purchase with government coupons.
- Read the Final Rule and Technical Appendix 1 and Technical Appendix 2.
- Complete and fax a Notice of Intent (DTV-3) for each converter model.
- Prepare test results according to the Final Rule and guidance in the May 2007 Public Notice and follow instructions for submitting test results and sample converters for NTIA evaluation.
